Projects Implemented

  • Ms. A. Vinotharshini, II M.Com received Rs.15,000 from Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education, Chennai under Student Mini Project for the year 2018-19 and was guided by Dr. K. Kalaichelvi, Head, Department of Commerce.
  • Ms. S. Esther Nandhini, II MSW received Rs.15,000 from Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education, Chennai under Student Mini Project for the year 2018-19 and was guided by Dr. A. Sivagami, Head, Department of Social Work.
  • Dr. S. Maneemegalai, Head, Department of BioChemistry had undertaken Studies on the Defluoridation Efficacy of Moringa oleifera, Camellia sinensis and Vermiculite with the support of Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education – Rs.1,00,000/- during 2016-17. This project is an attempt to effectively remove excess flouride in potable water using low cost naturally available material.
  • Dr. K. R. Sarala, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Tamil had undertaken the project titled Tamil Agarathi Thoguppu Nerimuraigal with the support of Government of Tamil Nadu  - Rs.1,00,000 in the year 2016.
  • Dr. A. Sivagami, Head, Department of Social Work had undertaken the project entitled “Need Assessment of Child Protection in Thanjavur District” with the support of Department of Social Defence, Chennai under Integrated Child Protection Scheme – Rs.1,89,000 during 2014-15. 
  • Dr. A. Sivagami, Head, Department of Social Work had undertaken the project entitled “Preparation of Perspective Plan of Thanjavur District” under State Balanced Growth Fund  with the support of Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission - Rs.1,00,000/- during 2013-14. 
  • Dr. M. Premavathy, Associate Professor & Head, Dept. Of English coordinated UGC Sponsored Career Oriented Programme- Rs.6,38,000 during 2012-17 by which Certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma Courses in Communicative English were conducted as add on courses for the Students. More than 500 students got benefit from this project by receiving an additional Certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced Diploma Course Certificates along with their UG and PG degrees.
  • Dr.T.V.Sumathi, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil received a grant of Rs.2.5 lakhs from Central Institute of classical Tamil, Chennai for a Project titled Changa Ilakkiyathil alabedai Chorkkal in 2012.
